Regional Express is very pleased to announce that Regional Express has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Specialist Services award category in the BIFA Freight Service Awards.
Our Specialist Services
As part of the Amazon Solution Provider Network (SPN) we realise the necessity to offer specialility services outside the scope of our core freight forwarding business to meet customers full range of requirements. Based on this we have added a number of Amazon-specific services to our portfolio.
Our specialilty services include a very successful product return service. If an overseas Amazon seller requires products to be removed from Amazon UK they can only have it removed back to a UK address so it is difficult for them to take back control of their product. We allow our facility to be used as a returns address where we receive back stock from Amazon in bulk. From here we offer a fully flexible service and can adapt to meet any of our customers specific requirements.
This includes consolidation of received items for return shipping to origin/other marketplaces, a full prep service for re-labelling, quality control, re-boxing and bundling of units.
In addition to this one of our most popular bolt-on services is our new “buffer stock” service. Ecommerce sellers are often only allowed to deliver/store a small quantity of units at the online stores fulfilment centre meaning it can be a costly and time consuming exercise to send a new international shipment each time stock needs re-plenishing. Our buffer stock service allows the customer to initially import a larger quantity of units, which we can hold in our warehouse and when their stock is running low with an online store we can pick & pack and replenish their stock levels in as little as 48 hours, significiantly increasing the sellers speed to market.
This also has a significant cost saving benefit for the customer as sending one larger shipment instead of multiple regular shipments will ultimately reduce their freight costs per unit. In addition to this the process for replenishment becomes more efficient and less time consuming.
There is also benefit to Regional Express as the customer utilises a number of our one stop shop services from freight forwarding to warehouse & distribution.
Neil Curran (MD – Regional Express) says “We are very pleased to be a finalist in the BIFA Specialist Services Award. We believe that by offering a range of specialist services it sets Regional Express apart from the other forwarding companies in the industry. With the way the industry is changing it is important we continue to adapt to our customers ever changing needs and by adding these specialist and value added services we believe we are truly market leaders in the delivery of freight in the E-commerce industry.”
